A downloadable project

I designed an album cover for a fictitious Jazz master of the 1920’s Joe Jose, an artist whose music is inspired by the rich, dynamic jazz traditions of the 1920s. This cover visually captures the essence of the Roaring Twenties, combining the vibrant flavours of jazz with iconic imagery and design aesthetics from the era.

Using imagery of a 1920s Brisbane Landmark, City Hall, the iconic trumpet player and typography reminiscent of newspaper print of the day, the album cover uses a retro colour palette including deep browns, creams and yellows to create the warmth that has historically been associated with Jazz Lounges.

Jazz offers different flavours of sound including the energy and upbeat ragtime through to the smooth blues. The design should capture the curiosity of the music lover, keen to pick up the cover and read through the Jazz offering.
